A small outpatient therapy practice
About Me
Dani Standley, MA, PCLC, LAC
Hey, I’m Dani, a born-and-raised Montanan offering counseling throughout the state. I work with people who are curious about themselves, their relationships, and how they want to move through the world.
Outside of the therapy room, I try to stay close to the things that make me feel most myself. I spend a lot of my time nurturing my relationships with the people and community that I love, getting my hands in the dirt, cooking and eating delicious food, and trying to give my attention to the small, ordinary things that make me feel happy to be alive.
About My Work
My background includes more than a decade of work across the full spectrum of substance use treatment, including providing leadership for a year-long residential treatment program for mothers and their children. Alongside my work in substance use disorder care, my work has given me experience in grief and loss, relationships, sexuality, identity, and end-of-life care.
AA- Addiction Studies
BA- Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies
MA- Counselor Education
I come to counseling work from a relational-cultural theoretical lens; The focus is on safe relationship, mutual empathy, empowerment and authenticity while taking into account the context of culture.
About the Space
Located in the historic Florence Building in the heart of downtown Missoula, my office was created to feel warm and cozy. With low lighting and different seating options, my intention is that the space feels less clinical and more comfortable.
I believe that being welcomed into a space that feels intentional and cared for can be a small but meaningful reminder that you are worthy of that same care.
The Florence is ADA accessible, with elevator access and multiple waiting areas throughout the building. You’re welcome to choose whichever waiting space feels most comfortable and private to you before your appointment.
